Calling all teenagers!!

Want a taste of the "real world" before you get a salary, a family to support, and credit card debt? Practice managing money as an adult at the Bite of Reality interactive simulation.

If you're between the ages of 13 and 18, come to this fun and FREE event to learn how to make a budget, how to juggle car, mortgage, and utility payments and how to balance family needs against personal wants.

Merit Badge Classes

Call Erin Clark at the Municipal Pool 229-6309.  She is a registered Merit Badge Counselor and will help you complete the Swimming Merit Badge.   A small fee for entrance will need to paid.  The new schedule for the Spring Classes is out.  Click here for more information  and pricing.  Registration is available at or in person at the Municipal Pool.


Call Dan Lord at Silver State Shooting Sports for completion of shooting sports merit badge.  He is a registered Merit Badge Counselor and will help you complete the merit badge. The Silver State Shooting will provide ammunition and rifle.  There is a small range fee.  He is available the 3rd Thursday at the Clark County Shooting Park.  You must make an appointment for signing off the merit badges.  His email is



Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department are offer classes at the Municipal Pool and the Pavilion Pool.
